Epidemic of the Mind

The aim of The Report is the theoretical substantiation and further development of the Update HIV campaign. In addition, the research behind the report deals with the specific analysis of access barriers to the health care system.

A New Approach to Ending the Epidemic

We know how to prevent and treat HIV. And yet in 2021, there were more than 1.5 million new HIV infections and over 650,000 deaths caused by HIV/AIDS-related illnesses. Why?

Today, the key factors holding us back from an HIV-free future are social, cultural, and political. Our report, “Epidemic of the Mind”, is an evolving, in-depth analysis of the barriers that prevent access to the global health care system and examines the steps we need to end the HIV epidemic by 2030:

  • Fight stigma and discrimination Increase awareness and knowledge about sexual health.
  • Tackle gender inequality in society and health care.
  • Create access to prevention tools like condoms, PrEP, PEP and treatment as prevention for every young individual.
  • Address how modern medicine and sexuality can co-exist with spiritual beliefs.
